oh my gosh are you kidding me. I have nothing with Martho people but I’ve heard plenty of bad stuff. frankly I don’t know Jaice nor do I care about Jaice. People become fake because of their own choices. You can’t blame it on beliefs or parents or culture or anything. Fakeness comes from your own choices and your own ideas and your own actions. No matter what a person says, it comes down to themselves.
oh gosh…well one, if they weren’t crazy and running around and jumping they wouldn’t get views on youtube. But it’s called the Holy Spirit. It’s not like someone says “Now please start jumping up and down” no, it’s the Spirit moving in you. And frankly, I haven’t actually seen crazy people running around and jumping. Ever. and I’ve been going to a penti church my whole life. But it depends on how the Spirit moves. It’s hard to explain I guess.
and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
uh I actually don’t know if this is cultural or not seeing I haven’t been to many other Sunday services at other churches but there’s a verse in 1 Corinthians that says that women should cover their heads or shave off their hair because they are less than men and should show humility.
My parents would probably flip out if I pierced my ears. I haven’t really thought about it. It’s always been something that I was told I couldn’t do so I’ve never really wanted to. But personally? I don’t think it makes much of a difference. in the end your relationship with God is what’s going to get you into Heaven or not.
No, they’re not. Like I said, it’s a cultural thing. It’s been 43 years since malu pentis have started a church in America (*cough* ICA *cough*) and the farther it goes on the more and more people wear jewelry.
uh it’s a long story. It’s more a cultural thing really not to wear jewelry. It’s only malu pentis that don’t and especially lately with younger generations more and more people do wear jewelry. I guess it started in India really to show humility and devotion to God but I think a lot of it came from trying to separate from Hindu culture which most people would’ve converted from.
I’m not really sure and I guess I’m not the person to ask really haha

Being a slave for an Israelite was considered a favor. I know the answer before was specifically for Hebrew slaves but even among foreigners chances are if they weren’t a slave they’d be killed. (I think I’m not exactly sure). and it goes on to say that you may not treat them ruthlessly. Slavery has a negative connotation because of the abuse most slaves suffered but by definition slave means a person works for you without pay. So the Israelites had that but they had to feed, clothe, house, and respect (in terms of treatment) their slaves too.
exactly. Christ fulfilled the law so we wouldn’t have to.
thank you for your help!
Yes we are all God’s children.
Jesus is not the biological son of God. That’s a human thing God is not human. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all one: The Trinity. Jesus IS God. It’s a hard concept to understand. If you really need an analogy, think of H2O. Water right? Well it can exist in solid, liquid, and gas form. And at it’s triple point (chem reference!) it can exist in all three forms at once. That’s how God is. Jesus is the Son part of the Trinity. Therefore He is God and good and perfect and righteous and he atoned us for our sins.
And the whole Him giving up perfection to live among humans who don’t believe in Him or even when they did didn’t always obey or acknowledge Him to die for all our imperfections and sins despite the fact that he had no sin in Him makes Him pretty special.
well about the gospels and Jesus: honestly I am way too tired to go look this up right now but even if the gospels or Jesus never directly says anything about homosexuality, the whole Bible is the word of God. Yes, God didn’t physically write it or necessarily speak all of it audibly. He used the Spirit and giving the authors the words to write. All of it, even the Old Testament and the parts of it that don’t seem relevant (like the sacrifices and ceremonies) all are of God and have a message being in the Bible whether it’s a timeless rule (such as the Ten Commandments) or a promise (like prophesies) or just an example to show us that through Christ we don’t have to go through a process to get to God. So the other two places in the New Testament and even in the Old Testament (because some rules do apply still) are all from God.
and about the terms I saw your other message and I’ll get back to you on that because I don’t want to answer it wrongly you know?
