yeah thats right. work it
this is literally a pic of matt smiths butt why does it have 10,000 notes
because it’s literally a pic of matt smith’s butt
So, to all the SUCKERS that think Severus did not deserve Lily. READ THIS OUT LOUD AND SEE THE TRUTH. I hate when people say that Saint James deserved her. God I fucking hate James. He was an ass in the books, in the movies and you say he did deserve Lily. Lily didn’t deserve Severus. And in my deepest thoughts I wished that James was an ass with Lily too. Sorry for that, for the crying and the yelling. But when people talk bad about Severus, I feel that they are kicking a puppy.
You’re a piece of shit. Fine, believe Snape deserved her (like an object, but that’s another discussion), but you’re wishing that Lily was abused. So you’re okay with domestic violence? Since it was her choice to be with him, she would have deserved it?
What the fuck is wrong with you? Seriously, go to hell and never call yourself a Harry Potter fan.
“Lily didn’t deserve Severus. And in my deepest thoughts I wished that James was an ass with Lily too.” - are you kidding me? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???????
You are one misogynistic bigot. I agree with flowersandleaves. Go to hell.
Everyone leave Snape alone. All he wanted to do was kill everyone of her kind. And I mean, like, he begged Voldemort to keep her alive so that her husband and son would die and he could have her to himself.
Totally decent, really.
Oh and let’s not forget that he bullied little kids who totally deserved it! Neville was a jerk and annoyed every single teacher anyways,he deserved to be treated that way!Come on guys Snape is so perfect!I don’t get why everyone hates him so much,he was such a hero…
Plus,it’s not like what Snape had with James and Sirius
(everyone seems to forget he was involved too)was compared to what Harry had with Draco by Dumbledore himself anyways… James was the only jerk. Sirius? He never did such thing! And Snape was always the victim! Not like he wanted to use Dark Magic, he only did those things cuz he wanted Lily to notice him and not to be bullied by his Slytherin class mates…
Oh, let’s not forget about how Snape tried to out Remus in a horrible way? Because that obviously was an act of kindness too, because he obviously just wanted Remus to be himself and to be comfortable with what he was, and that everyone else was too, so he wouldn’t have to hide it anymore.
Oh, and have I mentioned yet how he told her it was okay to be a witch, but neglected to tell her that she was a ‘mudblood’, and how there was absolutely no chance in hell she would be completely accepted into the wizarding world? Gave her no warning? And then chose to hang out with the exact people that despice her for who and what she is? He obviously did that out of kindness too. Because he didn’t want her to get hurt. Not because he didn’t want her to like him any less.
And shall we talk about how darling Severus listened in on the Prophecy and basically handed the ‘love of his life’ and her family over to Voldemort. He obviously did that out of the goodness of his heart. Totally selfless.
And naturally ‘after all this time’, it’s not like he ever made her son’s life miserable. I mean, he’s an oclumens, so obviously he just hid the fact that he treated him as fairly as he did everyone else from Voldemort, instead of making his life as hard as he possibly could. Because that’s the reasonable thing to do, being the grown up man that he was.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that Severus was just such a wonderful, wonderful man. I do not understand how anyone can like that complete prat James Potter, who so bravely fought for what he thought was right. Fought for the lives of his wife and son. And died for them even, because he had no wand. Such an asshat. How dare he sacrifice himself for his wife and kid. That was basically a suicide mission. Do you know how selfish that is? He just let himself be killed, without ever thinking about his friends that he left behind. He’s better of dead. Because what good is the life of a bully? It’s not like he fought for a greater cause anyway.
Okay. Listen up you Snily shippers: I don’t hate Snape. I don’t. He did a lot of horrible things mentioned above but I don’t hate him.
What I do hate is people trying to defend him for what he did. He did those things. You can’t deny it. No matter how much love he felt for Lily, or how he protected Harry, he still did them. He didn’t have to bully Hermione, Neville and Harry. The only reason he did was out of a high-school grudge against James, which he is very unfairly passing onto Harry. Keep in mind he only ever “protected” Harry out of selfish love. That is NOT a good enough reason.
Now. You said Lily doesn’t deserve Snape. Are. You. Kidding. Me. Sure, go ahead and say James doesn’t deserve Lily because he was a bully or what not. The thing is - he grew up. He saved Snape’s life. If he hadn’t grown up, d’you really think that an obviously passionate, determined and stubborn person like Lily would be able to be forced in marrying him? If she chose him, that’s good enough for me, and it should be good enough for you. Remember when you say James was a bully. Well guess what. Snape was too. His relentless suspicion of Remus as said above; his obsession with the Dark Arts which is just a grossly mutated form of bullying; and his hanging out with people like Mulciber who is obviously a bully to some of Lily’s friends and probably her. But here’s the catch. Snape never grew out of it. Snape still bullies, when he is in his thirties, a school-teacher, and supposed to have grown-up. Hmmm.
And don’t give me rubbish on how he was misunderstood. Yes, he was. I do agree with that. But that is no argument against James, because I think you’re forgetting something. You’re so blinded by your obsession with your own favourite character, that you don’t realise that other characters are also misunderstood. Namely, James Potter.
The most horrifying thing is, you said you wished for Lily to be beaten by James. I’m not even going to address that, because I guess if you’re saying stupid and mindless things like that, well, I’m not sure if I’ll ever get through to you. All I’ll say is this: If you are more obsessed with a character from a series that wouldn’t exist without James and Lily Potter having a happy relationship together, and you would wish for someone to have domestic violence inflicted upon them, you are not a Harry Potter fan.
Lastly, your point about Lily. This is one of your favourite arguments, I;ve found with Snily shippers but it’s also the one that’s EXPLAINED IN THE BLOODY BOOK. Apparently, Lily only ended the friendship because it “slipped out once in the heat of a moment”. I’m sorry. Did you actually read the whole of The Prince’s Tale? Throughout the whole relationship, Snape is growing darker, more attached to killing people like Lily. So apparently, just because he’s in love with her, that makes it OK for him to kill others of her kind, make her go against her kind. Huh? Lily didn’t end their friendship because of one mistake. She ended it because she already knew she wanted to fight the Dark Arts. She knew they were going they’re separate ways. She knew that Snape still called others of her blood status “Mudblood”, and why she should she be any different? The scene in fifth year was the straw that broke the camel’s back, I think.
I’m not saying Snape believed this. I truly think he knew this, and that was why he ended up partially redeeming himself. It’s people like you who make this shit up for him that makes my blood boil. It’s you people who make this stuff up, for your own backstories, or fanfictions, and that’s fine, as long as you don’t impose it as canon upon us, because it’s not.
Besides, we know more about Snape’s life than we probably ever can about James’, so I want to know why you think he’s STILL such a asshole I’ll admit it. He was. But he grew up, Snape didn’t, Lily chose the man she fell in love with. Deal. With. It. Write your fanfiction. Create your story in your head. But do. not. force. it. on. me.
And remember that you wouldn’t even know about Snape if it wasn’t for James, so remember that too.
And can I ask you? Did you ship Snily before The Prince’s Tale? Don’t lie. Did you, really, truly? Think about that one.
Am I right in thinking it ridiculous that you all only like one chapter from the whole seven books?
(I’m very sorry to people out there who ship Snily for themselves, and don’t force it people. This is not for you. This is for people like the top)
Okay, seriously? All this just for Jily-haters? Without Jily, this whole fandom never would’ve existed!
Moral Of the story: don’t fuck with Jily
once again the Jily fandom rushes to defend their beloved ship and james potter, don’t fuck with us.
and honestly, are you judging someone based on who they were in high school? DO YOU NOT REALIZE WHAT TEENAGE BOYS ARE LIKE (unless it’s Ed Sheeran)?! Are you genuinely proud of the person you were in high school? and even if you wanna say that it still affected Snape, HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE TRIED TO USE SECTUMSEMPRA ON JAMES IN HIS WORST MEMORY?! okay. I mean I think Snape was a great character and he had good intentions in the end but don’t try to act like he was a saint and that James wasn’t a good man. DON’T MESS WITH JILY ESPECIALLY NOT THIS WEEK.
A pie chart of Voldemort’s soul, assuming that every time he made a horcrux his soul was split precisely in half.
Numbers are rounded down.
…Harry had more of Voldemort’s soul in him than Voldemort himself had.
Whoa. That’s crazy.
This is super cool! Props to whoever made it!
I read “Diary” as “Dairy” and pictured him filled with cheese curds.
Relevant to my interests.
EDIT: Also, *damn*, Ginny basically got the worst Horcrux. She had way more of Voldemort in her than Harry ever did.
Reblogging for that edit because… I never considered that.
Which probably also explains why the diary was so powerfull and had so much of his personality.
I always believed that the Diary should have affected Ginny much MORE in the long run than it did. This chart just proves it.
I’m sorry I all I saw was “Ginny had more of Voldemort in her than Harry ever did”
Voldemort was in Ginny and Harry at the same time.. if you know what I mean
I liked how James wasn’t this perfect father figure, he bullied and hurt people’s feelings. But whatever happened he still put his family first, and that is something that I always admired him for.
